Jonathan Clay manages the Carpi & Clay Sacramento office and its legislative/advocacy activities. With nearly 20 years of experience in the legislative arena, 15 years with Carpi & Clay, Jonathan plays a major role in developing and implementing effective legislative strategies. His direction and expertise is highly valued by our clients. Jonathan will ensure transparent communications and information sharing with IWA officials. Jonathan regularly works with the legislature, administration and various state agencies advocating for our clients’ interests.
Prior to his lobbying career, Jonathan was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson to advise Robert Frazee, a member of the California Integrated Waste Management Board. Jonathan has also worked as a research consultant for various business groups in San Diego developing community profiles, market research, and building data.
He is a member of the Davis Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow and received an MBA from San Diego State University and a BA from University of California, Davis.
